The Job
Providing engineering technical support and leadership as part of a development team for large scale solar electric power plant siting, permitting, design and construction. Working with Project Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Utilities, Suppliers and Customers as engineering lead for multiple solar generation projects from conception through construction. Your key accountability's will be and not limited to:
*Working closely with the project stakeholders, ensure that project technical documentation, design,
and resources for the balance of plant (BOP) are properly coordinated and integrated for ease of
installation, assembly, serviceability, and optimum life cycle costs (including O&M).
*Prepare technical documentation for permitting, regulatory filings, bidding and construction for
solar electric power plant development.
*Assist in the development of project development plans and budgets, as well as estimating project
capital costs
*Develop project preliminary design, EPC budget, and scope of work and documentation for EPC
bids / construction.
*Support construction department as needed on project design requirements.
*Coordinate EPC design review, vendor drawing review project as-built records
*Establish relationships across companies to leverage internal capabilities within those organisations
*Establish capabilities and resources to ensure a repeatable, scalable process for the technical side
of development activity
The Candidate
You will hold a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or equivalent, along with a proven track record of experience leading technical projects in the areas of utility scale power delivery or power generation. A strong understanding of project management and project controls for power generation, co-generation or renewable plants. An expert in engineering and construction methodologies.
Able to demonstrate of cost estimating/budget projections and ability to understand, develop and review engineering and construction drawings, generating and updating engineering drawings using AutoCAD or similar software packages.
A full clean driving licence and flexibility is essential as you will spend time on the road in European countries along with travel to the U.S.
